I’m not an everything shower girl. I wish I was but I’m not. I was showering today and I realized that. The idea of washing your hair, shaving, exfoliating, and then still lather rinse and repeating?? I’m sorry no and I don’t want to be a prune by the end and that is just a long time in the shower. Time I do not usually have, I might add. I like doing them separate. To be fair, I don’t need to wash my hair and shave as often as most, but that isn’t really the point. The ‘everything’ shower started trending and me being someone who just simply does not have an everything shower scheduled into their routine every month or at all for that matter, I thought I was a bit odd. Do I need to be shaving more or washing my hair more? No and I am doing neither as I know I don’t need to be an everything shower girl I just need to be clean; shower, wash my hair when I need to, and shave when I need to and or feel like it (spoiler in the winter unless I feel like it or am showing off the legs they are not shaved and people still say I have very smooth skin because they don’t notice). I don’t I feel like there should be no shame around taking or not taking ‘everything’ showers but for some reason I feel there is and I’m sorry there are people out there that believe they are clean by only using their bare hand to shower so I just feel there should be no judgement anywhere. Especially because for some people its hard to get up and brush their teeth, let alone shower. Some people an everything shower is just one shower a week they are able to get themselves to take. It’s about perspective because what really is everything? So I am not an everything shower girl. I find it overwhelming, overstimulating, too humid, my face gets too wet when I don’t want it to, and sometimes I find the task of showering exhausting. I like the routine to be simple and easy and additions to not take too long. I am a girl that showers everything daily, shaves sometimes, and wets hair often.
